The free Boogie in the Park Concert Series at Ocean Front Park & Pavilion fills summer evenings with tunes ranging from country to reggae. On the first and third Sundays of each month from May through October, families can bring a picnic blanket and lounge chairs and unwind. On the second and fourth Friday of each month from June through early fall, the Blakeslee Air Force Recreation Area Concerts hosts a variety of bands, all set against the scenic Cape Fear River.

Head to neighboring Carolina Beach for even more melodies and beats. Walk along the Carolina Beach Boardwalk to watch fireworks light up the sky and hear live music fill the air during the weekly Fireworks by the Sea & Boardwalk Blast. This beloved annual tradition begins the Friday before Memorial Day and continues every Thursday evening until the final show on the Friday before Labor Day.
While in town, relish the sounds of Summer Tiki Shows and the flavors of seafood bites and drinks on the pier at Ocean Grill & Tiki Bar. Occurring Thursday evenings throughout the season, these lively performances feature genres from country to rock.
