For unforgettable sunset views, purchase a day permit at Fort Fisher State Recreation Area and take your own four-wheel-drive vehicle out for a cruise along the beach strand. Explore the wonders of aquatic environments at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Say hello to Stella, Mae and Selene, a trio of Asian claw otters and be on the lookout for their three siblings, Gemma, Kai and Ren, who were born this January to join them in the Otters on the Edge exhibit.
